That's definatly more than my pockets can afford, but as long as you're happy. It'll look sweet after.

Would it have been cheaper to get an F-250 with SAS and
mod it or will those axles fail also for what you do? I've
never researched that far into offroading.

When it comes to spending money on our trucks its all about how much your salary is a year. It's obvious you don't make $50k / yr. Lol. If someone makes $200k / yr then spending $50k in mods isn't as bad on the pockets.

F-250 double cab is a lil too big and a lil too wide for the kind of trail Riding I do. Plus it would have been a lot more if I purchased one cause I would have to still spend on king shocks suspension and all the off road equipment once again. I also don't think anyone would want to buy my truck for 80K.

I can buy a Raptor in a heart beat, but by the time I finish modifying it would have been a total waste of money. I have planned and always plan on never getting rid of my truck, unless I total it.

As far as making X amount of money a year goes, I make enough to keep up with the desires and wants in order to be happy. But it's not how much I make a year that allows me to spend it's how much I have been able to obtain and retain in the past.

It's only been a lil over 3 years that I started off roading and enjoying life. Before that, I'd work 12 to 16 hrs a day 7 days a week; then I got married and only work about 12 hrs a day 6 days a week. All I did was work and no play for more than 16 years.

My ultimate goal was to save up to 1.5 million dollar and purchase a 10 unit apartment, live in one and rent the rest. In 2002 I started working on the .5 part of my goal but when I met my wife (girl friend at the time, senior vise president of CNL Financial Group, Inc. Real Estate Investments Company) she advised it would be best to invest the money into deferent funds including a retirement fund.

Now the retirement fund is history.

As long as your happy, thats all that matters. I like the fact that you are living your life and not really worrying too much about tomorrow. I wish i could do that. But i am too young at the moment. I would love to do half of the things you do to your truck to mine. I need to buy a house this year, but after i get settled i am going to buy some 35/36's and lift my truck another 2 inches. If your wife was ok with you spending your retirement fund, im sure it will all work out in the long run.

Yes, about 3 years ago I finally found myself and saved that lil child inside of me. Now I spoil him and give him everything he deserves cause he has and continues to work hard for all the things he wants in life. I told my wife, I want to be happy every day and I won't let anyone come in between me and my happiness.

I have come a long ways and have accomplished so many things in 21 yrs. Alone, tortured and grasping for the last breath of air, I manage to make it to the finish line.

See the checkered flag plastered on my truck? Well, when I purchased the truck and started modifying it I wanted to add some graphics that displayed my successes in life. My final drawing was the checkered flag which I unconsciously designed. Later I asked myself why the checkered flag? Then I realized that the checked flag signifies, triumph, victory, you'r number one, a winner.

After so many years of physical, verbal and metal abuse by my mother's dictatorship I was able to triumphantly climb to the top and reach the zenith of many of my goals. Attacking the roughest terrain and climbing up a tough hill with my checkered F-150 and claiming success at the top of the hill is a great passion of mine.

Some of you have read my childhood's history but for those of you who haven't, it is publicly available here @: http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forum...ead.php?t=2711

Leo what did you do! More gas next time and do it right, get the other side out from under it and save some labor cost...JK! I hope you and the wife are doing well. Seems like the truck was holding up. I can not wait until you get the truck back and go hit the trails again!

No, but he and I went to high school together.

Uhmmm......uhmm...Are you jealous because the voices only talk to me?

P.S.

My imaginary friend thinks you have a serious problem.

OK, a lil update on my wasteful spending.

Today I approved to have a Tri-link Rear Suspension Designed and fabricate with 6 Johnny joints, 1 1/4" Uniball with misalignment and cup (whatever the hell that means but it sounds good), king 2" x 2.5 coil-overs w/springs and king 2.5 tripple bypass shocks.
