yeah on the 97-03 4x4's the torsion bars are the only adjustment.

Honestly id leave it at the 6" heigth put 35's on it and some side steps. they really help.

I guess a lot depends on the truck too. I do not want a stuffed look like I have now, but don't want it to look weird. Wandell made a good point to me in a PM. He said since my wheels were 10", that should help.
yeah the 10" wide wheels will give a wider stance. Honestly i dont think it will look that bad.

My buddy MINIMONSTER17 has 9" and 35's on stock wheels and it looks great. Yes 37-38's would look great but the 35's dont look bad.

easyrydaddw- why did you mess with the torsion bars after the lift? Was the truck not level?

he lowered the torsion bars on the fabtech because it was too tall for his wife and kids. But he was getting metal to metal clanking noises so he returned them to the regular heigth/

just checked the mickey thompsons mtz radial dont come in a 35" for 17" wheels. i'll just stick with the 33's, and do adjustment on tbars an alignment the same time, while looking at dropping the rear block an equal amount if possible.

Please post a picture when you get the new tires. What wheels are you getting? Size (width)? Thanks.

35s will be better but the 33s will last for awhile. Sell the 33s used.

I think it will look fine. I just lifted my 00 2wd about 5.5" and it has 31's (265/75-16 Terra Grapplers) and looks o-k but not great. I will be getting some bigger tires soon. Need at least a 33x12.5

Comparison with 31's

Here is a picture before the lift with the 31's. (31.8" 265/75/16's)

And... Here is a picture after the lift kit and the same tires.

It could definately use bigger beefier tires, but it doesn't look stupid I don't think. Any suggestions on tires? I have had the Toyo M/T's and loved them, but now all my buddies have them, so looking for an alternative.

that doesnt look bad, you see how much gap i have now between tire and fender, also the width on mine presently is really narrow for the height of the truck

what is the spec on the 31" tire you have (width)?

i think i'll look pretty solid, really got me anxious now, i like the nitto terra grapplers, but they didnt have them in the OWL. love the OWL man

Don't forget that onefifty has a 2wd. With his 5.5" lift, that would only be about 2" higher than a standard 4x4 (I think). I agree that his truck looks fine as is.
