Rough Country Level Kit

I ran a search, didn't find any helpful information, but I am considering the Rough Country level kit for my truck. I just replaced my air damn after breaking the old one and not wanting that to happen again, and i'm sick of the front end low stance. Has anyone tried the Rough Country level kits? Any feedback on them? I know a majority of people on here use the AS kits but I heard a little negative feedback on them for quality.

There is a possibility for negative feedback on any leveling kit because it throws your front suspension out of alignment, puts your CV joints at an extreme angle. I personally wouldn't use a leveling kit. 4" rancho with 33s is a better idea.

Hell Bent Steel

I have used Hell Bent Steels level kit and loved it. I know a few other guys that used thier and all have loved it. I like it for a few reasons, 1-it's steel, not poly or aluminum (which corrodes next to steel) 2- it's powdercoated, not painted. Have had no issues at all with it. One word of caution, though. AS says 2 inches, but you get 2.5 from what I have heard, so they have a 2 and 2.5 that really give you 2.5 and 3. Hell Bent says 2.5 and 3 inches and they give you exactly that. No better or worse, just something to know ahead of time. Don't know anything about Rough Country and not trying to bash, just giving you positive feedback on someone. Hope that helps.

spend a little extra coin darren, and get some bilstein 5100 lift struts

It will lift the 2" you want, and ride soooo much better then stock, and they are adjustable so you can return to stock quickly + alignment

Bilsteins

I have also heard good things about them, the only thing is that you keep having to buy them to keep your lift. With a spacer, you can run whatever you want. Just something to think about. Either way, let us know what you decide and how it turns out.

No Problems with Mine

I put on a rough country leveling kit (2.5") about 15,000 miles ago and so far, no problems. I have a '04 screw 2wd and it looks and drives perfect. I think most leveling kits are pretty much the same (besides the price) but I'm no expert.

Yeah after like 50,000 miles... And a spacer will wear down your ball joints faster. I would def go with the bilsteins

I think he was referring to replacing the for needed length, not becuase they were wore out.
