2WD 6in Lift Questions

I am looking to put a 6in suspension lift on my 06 Screw 2WD. Will I be able to run 35x12.50 tires without having to do any trimming? Also, I am in between the Procomp and Fabtech Kits. Is there a difference or is it all preference and I see they both make 2 or 3 kits, what is the difference in the kits? I am not going to be doing any heavy duty off-roading but would still like something that will stand up if I do take it off road.

I was running the Pro Comp spacer lift, but have recently upgraded to fabtech's DL coilovers. originally i had wished i wouldve went with the fabtech. Pro comp kinda seems pieced together cheaply and it really doesnt return your factory balljoints to their stock locations, at least on a 2wd. Seems like the spindle they include is a little short.

I would get the fabtech 6" with dirt logic coilovers and a 5" block out back. Both pro comp and fabtech 6" kits will be enough to clear a 35x12.50" tire.

I second the motion, although i'm pushing 8"+ inches on a 6" lift with 36" tires. Had i to do it over again, 6" Fabtech, but really i would have spent the extra money an gone with a Rize 8" lift.

8" Rize = for 4WD's only.

Yes that's the exact setup I'm running and I had to do zero trimming and I have no rubbing issues. Just make sure whatever wheels you get the backspacing is as close to the stock wheels as possible and you should have no issues.

IMO if you aren't going to do any serious offroading I wouldn't spend the extra money, just get the basic Fabtech kit and you'll be fine.

One More Question: What size blocks do the Fabtech and Procomp lift kits come with? What is the difference with going with 5in blocks in the rear as oppose to AAL? Also, I have a 2.5in Autospring Level kit, will that make a difference when I got to put on the lift kit? Thanks again.

The blocks that come in the rear on the fabtech i believe are a 2" block, so you will get the squated rear end look, if you upgrade to the 5" block with the fabtech kit your truck will be leveled out. both lifts come like this. pro comp stacks there blocks which isnt a very good idea. the AAL usually stiffens up your ride but increases towing capacity, its all a personal preference. i would recomend the 5" block.

and for your leveling kit, it can be re-used on the basic fabtech lift, but on the pro comp it isnt a good idea to re-use it because you will be stacking spacers and you will put your front factory components in a hella angle. so in reality, if you go with the fabtech and re-use your leveling kit, it will give you roughly 8.5"s up front, this would mean you need a 5" block in the rear and a 2" AAL to get the truck close to level. or go with a new set of leaf springs. Hope this helps.
