[QUOTE=ozesati]The 6" ProComp lift comes with a 2.5" rear block that sit below the stock 2" block. I can replace both of this with a Fabtech 5" block but that will only give me .5" more. Not worth it. Fabtech said that it is not recommended to stack the 2" stock w/ their 5" block.

ProComp's AAL is b/t 1.5" and 2". Still I won't get the 3" I need.

BWD, I have never heard of shackles lift kits. How do they work? Where do they fit into?

try using Deaver leaf springs and your 2" block.

If you get the Fabtech 5" block and a 2" AAL, you'll only be sitting about 1/2" lower in the rear which isn't noticable at all. My truck sits 1/2" in the rear but you could not tell unless you stared at the truck for about 5 minutes.

. . or you can contact Deaver and they will make a leaf pack to give you enough lift. This is the best option but would be pretty damn expensive, probally just shy of $1,000 and you'll have a little bit of a wait. Deaver leaf springs are by far the best leaf springs you can buy, it will ride amazing. Atlas is also a very good leaf spring company, very close to the quality you get with Deaver and a little cheaper too.

PS: Do not get those cheesy shackles!!!

I need a 5.5" rear leaf spring on top of the 2" stock block not a 4" leaf, since the front was lifted almost 8".

Skyjacker make a 6" rear leaf spring, are they any good? Going with the 6" will give me .5" over what I need. I guess this is ok if I crank up my coil overs that much.

Or I can go with a Skyjacker 3in rear spring on top of the ProComp 2.5" and stock 2" block. Rear will equal front.

Even though several lift kit manufacturers sell kits that stack blocks, it isn't a good idea. The side forces going around a curve can cause them to roll out, letting the rear end move. Better to go after it the right way with springs - typically a more arched spring is longer than a flat spring, so a longer shackle (to allow full suspension movement) is a good idea as well - be careful not to fall into the trap a lot of guys do with shackles, a shackle is not meant to be a lift device, just a way for the spring to move through its arc. Generally that's less than 2" longer than stock - which does give you about 1" of lift.

And yes, I have seen blocks stacked for 10 to 12" of lift... I don't even want to imagine the spring wrap that creates, never mind the blocks falling down.

Can anyone give me some advices on why this is so? Everything looks and drives fine. I do have to trim a very small protion of the wheel well in the front because of rubbing when turning. Very minor. Don't want to have to lower front anymore.

The rear block was only 2.5 inches. I measure the before/after height. Might be off some what seen I am not on a completely leveled ground. Measurement are from the center of the wheel to the lip of the wheel well. Below are measurements:
Before After
Front Driver 25.5 33
Front Passenger 25.75 33.5
Rear Driver 27.5 30.75
Rear Passenger 27.5 30

I haven't regeared but I do plan to. There is some power lost but the stock gears are holding up. I have stock 3.55 gears. I went off roading to Azusa Canyon, CA. last weekend and I had no problems w/ the lack of power (took me some hours to clean mud afterwards ). But since this is my weekend truck, I plan on putting 4.88 gears to get the power I want and not have to worry to much about gas consumption.
