i was just wondering if i was to install a 6in fabtech lift and a set of 35s on my 2005 f150. Will FORD void my powertrain warranty?

There has been much debate on this very topic in the past. If you do a search, you can read for hours on this topic. Most of the time, every dealer is different. Go to your local Ford dealer and talk to the head of the service department and see what they think. Some of the time you can get away with having a leveling kit put on, but a 6" full suspension lift would surprise me if they allow it. If you are going to have the dealer install it, that may allow you to keep warranty, but I would be surprised if after all the modifications with a lift that they would honor a warranty. They will probably say the new parts and larger tires put too much stress on any stock components.

by law they have to prove your lift caused whatever part is was that failed, to fail. some dealers are just a pain in the *** and say everything voids your warranty others are more customer mod friendly.

I had a new tranny covered under warranty with a 4" Rancho and 35"BFG AT's. They were a$$holes and took 3 weeks but at least they covered it under warranty.

I was told by my local dealer that I can get it done by them or have it done by outside shops that are ford certified. They were really cool and just told me to contact them when im ready and they will set everything up for me. I wont have to pay the dealer cost either. ( Which they said is another 15- 20%)

I'm dearly sorry. Next time I post something, I'll run it by you.

I answered the question, didn't I?
