id say it depends on the kind of trailer. I put them on mine b/c i often haul trailers w/ equipment, or for racing. they help out alot! id say its up to you weather you want it or not, it does stiffen up the ride a little bit but nothing that noticable.

I have several pics you can look at of my FX4 with a 2.5" leveling kit. 285/65/20 are next. I love the look that Dog'em has on his truck. That's the look that I want for my FX4 as well.

I would have to agree with FX4life, it really depends on the trailer size. I think with a 2" level kit I would go with the adjustable lift bags on the back instead of the add a leaf. The 1.5" add a leaf is going to give it too much front end rake all of the time when empty.

The reason I put the add a leaf on my setup was it sat perfectly level with the 2.5" kit but I pull a 20" boat in summer and hate it when the rear squats. With the add a leaf it sits level with the boat on and has just a slight rake when empty.

how to for lift kit.

I went with the 2 inch E-Z lift and the instructions provided couldnt have been easier detailed step by step i found them on Ebay for around a "c" note.E-Zlift is the brand name,no problems at all been about a year now.dont forget to add in the cost of a front end alignment after installation (necessary) good luck.
