Need Some Lift Kit Advice

Hey Alll!
Well I want to add a lift system on my truck, I keep going back and forth of which kit to go with. I'm leaning towards the skyjacker which is my first choice. But I also looking at the Pro Comp lift systems also. I also want the coil over shocks, too. So here I am, asking you all your pro's & con's of a good choice for a lift system.

I have heard and read on several posts that a 4" RANCHO lift is good for minor clearance and that Fabtech makes one of the best 6" lifts on the market. I know a guy with a Fabtech 6" and his regrets have been he wish he would have gone higher, and the installation to have been done by professionals. I know he had some issues with the lift and steering because a local 4wheeler shop did the install with little to no experience and left him hanging and he had to go to the dealer. I have a leveling kit right now, but if i had to choose a lift i would probably go with a 4". I don't do alot of wheelin' but i don't want to fill with gas every 3 days. also 33 or 35's can be used. I feel that is a good compromise. I have had friends with lifts and anything higher that 4" have heard causes alot of wear on steering components as well as horrible gas mileage. A friend traded his truck in after spending several thousand on a lift, wheels, tires, etc. only to complain about gas, BUT DAMN THAT TRUCK LOOKED GOOD WHILE HE OWNED IT. Good luck and remember that's just my opinion(2cents)

I think they are all pretty good lifts. Most say the Fabtech is slightly higher quality.

So does the skyjacker kit convert your torsion bar front end to coil overs?

No. Rockkrawler Suspensions is the only lift I know of for our trucks that is a coilover conversion.

fabritech also has a 10" lift that converts it to coils and straight axle, but from what i heard the workmanship is not up to par
