Need body lift HELP Please help

Need body lift HELP Please help

Im in the middle of putting my body lift on but i cant find the transmission shift bracket on the trans i took off the skid plate and dont see nothign that looks like a bracket or anything any info or pictures. The instructions picture doesnt help any input woould be appreciated

Not everyone needs the bracket. I have a 5.4 and an automatic and didn't use the bracket.

i didnt use the bracket as well on my 03 5.4 FX4

i found it and put it on but now my shifter is stiff. Did you two not use it because it still bolted onto the transmission of you just let if hang there

Not sure what you mean, but mine is still in the box. I never installed it.

i know you didnt use it but did u even unbolt it off your trans before lifting it and if you did, did u just leave it suspend there because my is three inches higher then where it was initally.

i did not disconect mine i just pulled the bushing out of the firewall behind the gas pedle so the lincage could move in and out freely wile i lifted the cab

I had to use mine unfortunatly. What your problem is ( why it is stiff) is the brakcet's pulling your cable too tight. First thing is to check and see if the whole in the rubber boot in the firewall is large enough to allow for play in the cable. If that is not the problem, then take the brakcet off, and take a hammmer and tap some of the angle out of it. The anlge was too drastic for mine when I put it on and it pulled the cable out of line and also jammed it against the o2 sensor. This could be the same thing you are dealing with. Then when you get it all back together and it feels normal, adjust the shift indicator again. Speaking from experience, dont let this problem linger, it will wear out your neutral safety switch. NOT FUN.
