I disagree with the statement that you will not get the perks when you buy one on X-plan. I bought a King Ranch edition and still received the matching legal pad that I wasn't supposed to get because I got such a good deal on the truck. By the way, I work at Lockheed Martin, and I get x-plan too.

It's been three weeks since we bought ours(X-plan price) and I got a nice blanket in the mail from FORD over the weekend.

PS. I love Experimental Aircraft too!!!......Maybe one day I'll see one in person.

$750 X plan rebate

FYI... I purchased a SCrew on 7/30 using the X plan and I received a surprise $750 x plan rebate on top of the $1500 Ford factory rebate.

X plan rules!!

Thanks...David

i had the exact same experience as ScrewMaybe. Went in expecting the $1500 total rebates and got another $750 that the salesbabe described as an aditional X-plan rebate...so all told I got my $37,605 sticker loaded King Ranch for about $30,800.

And yes, I got the leather portfolio and leather condioner.......why do people get on here and talk like they know things for sure when they don't?

I am just guessing...but maybe the dealer plays a role in whether you get the goodies. I also am guessing....guessing only!!!!....that maybe the extra $750 is kept by some dealers....they could have kept mine and I would not have known...so unless Ford audits.....

Also....I do know for sure that rebates change as often as weekly and vary by region.

x-plan is great! I purchased my screw on this plan and just got a escape for my girlfriend. The x-plan is for dealership employees and family members. They can buy 2 vehicals a year on this program. The dealers do not mind selling with x-plan, because Ford sends them a check for 7% of the invoice, plus holdback. They makeout pretty good on these deals.

1995xcr600,
It is my understanding that you can use the x-plan in Canada. Go to the EAA website (EAA.org or EAA.com, I can't remember) and I believe it addresses that question.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I went to http://www.eaa.org/communications/ea...d_partner.html and it says that the memberships are available toresidents of the US and Canada so I guess the "benefits" do as well. Too bad there was not more detailed info of the "Vehicle Discount Program ". What was the difference between the sticker price and what you paid, if you don't ind me asking? Thanks.

I'd have to look at my paperwork, but I do know it was several hundred less than invoice. Just go to KBB.com and get the invoice price for the truck you want (will that work since you're in Canada?), subtract a few hundred bucks and you'll be in the ballpark.

Question X Plan Rebates

swenny and logical,
Do you know what program ID you received the X plan rebates with? I bought a new Screw on 7/23/01 and was not aware of this. I called Ford's rebate hotline and mentioned that others received a $750 X plan rebate. The rep said she could look it up, but only if I provided her with the program ID associated with the rebate. THe X plan folks did not know either.

The ID for the $750 "aditional rebate" was #9100. Keep in mind that rebates change often. My deal date was 7-27-01 and I got the impression the $750 had just kicked in. Anyhow...let me know what happens.

X PLAN PRICE

Hey guys, all this talk about x-plan I though I'd put in my experience. I e-mailed a dealership with the description of the truck I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. They found the truck I wanted and the other dealership faxed the invoice to my dealership so I can check out all the specifics on the vehicle to decide if I wanted it before they went pick it up. Well on the invoice it had 3 different prices. 1. list price: $33, 275 2. Invoice price: $29, 610. 3. X-plan price: 28, 810. I purchased mine for $29,400 and had the dealer throw in a sliding rear window and the chrome tubular cab steps. I think on edmunds and on Kelly blue book the invoice said it was around the same price as what was on the paper they showed me $29, 610, give or take a couple of hundred (don't remember exactly). Along with a great price I applied online with ford credit and I knew I was approved for the 4.9% for 60 mos financing. I could have got the 5.9 for 60 mos with a rebate but I opted for the 4.9% instead. If I had to do it over again I think I would have applied to the experimental aircraft association to get the x-plan price. Live and learn. Just wanted to let everyone know. I LOVE this truck!

The actual dealer invoice has three prices on it: MSRP, invoice, and Y-plan. Y-plan is the Ford employee price. X-plan is 3% over the Y-plan price. This by the way is UNDER invoice. I got my King Ranch for about $500 under invoice. I suggest doing research on the actual invoice price before a dealer shows you one... It is very likely they don't show you the actual invoice.
