The skinny on 4.6L S'Crews
Airial,
Whoops, I thought I had offended you there for sec when you wrote bull manure in your response. Yikes. Anyway not offended at all just wanted to make sure I hadn't done the same to you.
So back to trucks for a change, shall we? Mine's Green which will suit me quite well today being St. Patty's Day and all. I have to say that driving this thing is just awesome and I couldn't like it more. Going turkey hunting with friends in MO soon and look forward to making the trek in my Supercrew. Good thing I know how to fry turkey cause I hope to bag one.

I bought a Supercrew with the 4.6 cause it was only one on the lot and the rest were all back orderd for months. I must say I hate the 4.6L. It is gutless, from a dead stop to flooring it you can't even get the slightest screch out of the tires. Time for a new muffler, intake, and a superchip. Then maybe it will be a little closer to the 5.4 I wish I had. A truck this size deserves a big engine DON'T GET THE 4.6!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Blue, I think you've made my point. It appears to be an issue of personal preference. I've had my Ranger for about 5 years now, and maybe floored it once or twice in all that time.... if even. I feel better now going with the 4.6L on my new S'Crew and sparing the 5.4L models for those who wish to screech tires.
