Great kk1, just thought I would ask to past the time waiting. Only 20 miles from factory-wow! Oh well I just hope they still build them one at time. Just wish I could get mine being built on tape. err- maybe not- those fumes from the exhaust must be getting to me again. Later BD

I know what you mean about passing the time!

The dealership told me 8 - 11 weeks. It looks like it may be more like 6.

Good news - 6 weeks is to long.

Bad news - I still have to sell my truck. I thought I would have at least four weeks.

Know anyone who needs a good '97 F150?

Question

What info (who do you get it from) is needed to track the progress of an ordered SCrew
I've ordered mine on 9-7-00, the dealer said to call him in Nov to see if it has an assigned V.I.N.

Xtruky,

Call 800-962-3746...but before doing so look thru this site for the posts on "VOPC" and you'll get all the info you need. You'll also need your DORA from your dealer so you can get your order number.

I just checked VOPC and mine's "at the ramp." So close, yet so far away.......

I'm suprised to see that there's people back in the eastern part of the country that aren't getting their truck 4-6 weeks after ordering them; I thought it only took forever to get them to Arizona!
Don't mean to be a smart a**, but from reading a number of the posts at this and other sites it just seems as though more people from the east and south-east get theirs a whole lot quicker than those of us in the western part of the country. What's up with that? (7 weeks, still "clean & unsceduled" w/ no VIN)

All I can say is from what I've seen on this board in the last month(and believe me I've seen alot just trying to past the time waiting) is that there seems to be something called allocation-whatever that means-anyway if your dealer has good allocation he gets his trucks faster. I don't know for sure if thats how it works. Just keep banging the dealers phone till you get some answers. I'm just going by what the computer tells me when I plug my numbers in. It could all be a crock I don't know for sure thats why I'm trying to keep e-body posted. Later Big Daddy

Good news! My Screw is in. Order date 8/4, build date week of 9/18, ETA week of 10/9, arrived at dealer 10/4. The only problem is that I'm on a business trip and won't be able to pick it up until Friday 10/6.
