Question about build dates

Maybe the flood gates are finally openning!
Mine had a delivery date of October 16th, it came in yesterday October 5th. Went to see it last night but won't be able to pick it up until Monday. Thats my doing not the dealers. This is a New England delivery, if that helps or shows some encouragement to anyone.
Looked at the motor, still no way to know if the 4.6Liter has the 20HP increase. Anyone have any leads on this?

Nothing appears etched in stone. That may be a good thing. My truck via VOPC was scheduled 3 times with the last date being the week of 09-18. I saw it tonight on the lot and the rail shipping sticker on the rear slider window has built 091400. VOPC also shows it at the ramp though the 2 trucks we ordered were dropped off 10-02-00 to the dealer.

Don't get discouraged. I waited over 15 weeks for delivery having ordered in mid-june and delivery being this tuesday.
Others have waited even longer.

I don't think we really have a choice of shipping method for our vehicles. Plus most if not all deliveries to dealerships are done via convoy carrier from the rail yard anyway. You know, them big old yellow(color may vary) tractor trailers with 8 to 10 trucks on them riding along side you on the interstate, delivering a truck to some other lucky bastard.... :> )

Boy did I get lucky. I went to order mine in the second week of June, which means I would have been getting it about now. My dealership had just about the exact model I wanted coming in, so I waited only 2 weeks, and I have been enjoying it ever since. And the only option that's different is the power seat, I probably would not have ordered that. For those of you who have waited so long, you'll love it when you get it.
P.S. I only had to cough up $200 extra dollars more to get it right away.

Called VOPC this morning. Got "Vehicle was produced October 10." Happy birthday. It's scheduled to arrive October 30.

I just called, had to listen to it three times and had the wife listen to it once. "As of October 9, your vehicle has been produced and released by the foreign plant.." Foreign, since when did they start making the Supercrew somewhere besides Kansas City?
It also goes on to say that it is scheduled to arrive week of October 19. Since when did the week start on a Thursday?
Oh well, just ordered the new wheels and tires today! I hope the truck gets here soon.
Oh, if anyone knows of someone who needs a brand new set of 17" chrome wheels and tires with less than 10 miles on 'em, send them my way. kkirt1@hotmail.com
