Exclamation

I'm next to say "I'm the proud owner of a bouncing baby SuperCrew." Picked it up last night. 3.6 miles on the odometer. Saleman says the clock starts rolling on the assembly line. It still stinks from the new burning off the engine and exhaust. I haven't even set the clock yet.

Here's my chain of events:

April through September; gathered great info from this board; thanks y'all.
Ordered Sept. 18 from Richmond Ford (Sheehy didn't want to deal)
As of Sept 21, to be built week of Oct.9
As of Oct. 9. was produced Oct. 10 with arrival week of Oct. 30
Arrived at ramp Oct. 18
Salesman called Oct. 23, says it's in
Picked up Oct. 23 (that's 5 weeks order to keys)

Keep the faith all still waiting. Love this truck!

Got mine yesterday. Sunday VOPC said "arrived at the ramp' again. Monday morning dealer called said it was being rolled off the truck. One nick in the paint in the front edge of the drivers side passenger door. Other than that perfect.

Ordered July 24th arrived October 23rd Looks like it was built Sept 29th

Yea, when I checked Monday morning the VOPC still said my vehicle was being shipped via rail. Then the dealer gave me a call Monday morning saying it had arrived and was ready for delivery. Picked it up yesterday and am so far VERY pleased with it. The only problem I've found so far is it's about 6 inches too long to fit in my garage. DOH!!!

GregFry,

Sounds like you should've got a SportTrac instead!

Just kidding. I would leave the garage door open if it meant driving an SCrew.

Thumbs down

No build date here yet!!! After 12 weeks the old VOPC(now voice activated) states "clean and unscheduled". It might be time to consider my options!! Dealer states it could show up any day now - YEA, RIGHT!!!

VMF214,
I had the same problem after 10 weeks the truck was still unschedule. My dealer called the district manager and it was scheduled two days later to be built the week of 11/6. If they can do it for me they can do it for you. I would press the dealer to make some calls. Good luck let me know what happens.

Talking

Cavecrew,
Thanks for the helpful tip - I will be applying what pressure I can on my dealer. I already have hinted on cancelling the order. He didn't like that one.

Question

How do you check VOPC?

I have order a 2001 4X2 Supercrew with all options including heated seats except the rear seat TV system. e-mail: dbdunn@earthlink.net

This is the info I got off the Edmunds town Hall when we ordered our SCrew:

VOPC is the Ford dealer order tracking system, number 800-962-3746. You will need your dealer nbr which you can get off the order, plus the order nbr. Work through the prompts (I check status by dealer nbr) and you will receive status. For alphas, first number is where the letter is, second number is location on the key, i.e. c is 23. Order nbr c198 becomes 23198.

Good luck to you.
