4 x 2

I drive this beast to work everyday in southern California. I liked the idea of the 4 x 4 but for me, the ride just plain sucked when I test drove one. The 4 x 2 rides and handles so much better on the street. Though, I certainly appreciate all the good reasons people have posted for having a 4 x 4.

Anyone keeping track? more 2bys or 4 bys??

4 x 2. Looks like 4x2's at 22 and 4x4's at 25 so far.

Also, VOPC says build date week of 10/9 and delivery date of 10/30. Excellent.

In a somewhat related topic; the reason I'm getting a new truck; my daughter Alicen was born 10/5. One new baby here, one to go.

4x4!

When I bought my Dakota everyone said just get a 4x2, you'll never use the 4WD. That's the last time I listen to anyone, its been just the opposite. I'm tired of getting stuck in the sand and having traveling limitations. The roads around here are pretty nasty!

------------------
Supercrew ordered on 8-7, built on 9-13, arrived on 9-27.
**Dealer will install propane conversion, can't take her home until then! **Silver XLT 4x4, 5.4L: power driver's seat, captain's chairs, lim. slip, skids, tow pack, cage, moonroof.
**Planned mods: Cervini hood, Superchip, 16" Centerlines with 265/75/16 BFG KO's, nerf bars, billet pedals, white-faced gauges, carbon fiber dash kit, tail light covers, Stull billet grill, Glasstite cap?, Pioneer stereo/cd controller, Pioneer 12-disc changer, speakers, amp. & subwoofer from other truck

2WD for me - $2,400 + 2MPG over the life of the truck was too steep a price to pay...

4X4! Love the look, much better resale. I was tired of hearing on my old F-150 extended cab that I couldn't get what I wanted for it because it was not a 4X4. This is farm country and 4X4 sell well. I personally dont use it much, but for resale it will be great and the looks are GREAT!
