Cool

4x4.

Have a 3-month old baby and my wife doesn't trust any rear-wheel driven vehicle. Had to get the 4x4 to satisfy her (unless I wanted to drive the family around in the Volvo). I like the look of it better, and got a good trade-in on my '97 F150.

4x4

There's a lot of sand in the desert and mud and snow in the mountains (I've been stuck in both). However, it'll be some time before the Screw sees the desert. The desert pin striping looks fine on my old jeep, but I don't think it will look to good on the Screw.

Insurnce cost for me actually went down as both my vehicles are 4x4 and both have ABS on all four wheels (get a massive discount at State Farm for placing two vehicles and home owners insurance). I pay exactly $1308 annually for both vehicles and home owners insurance.

4x2. With ltd slip on the truck and a weight distribution system on a trailer to distribute the weight equally on all the axels, I don't think I need the 4x4 (no matter how slip the boat ramp is). Plus, I'm in Florida where Magic Mountain at Disney is the 3rd highest point in the state!

------------------
Ordered: 2001 SuperCrew, Lariat, DWBlue/Beige, Tow Package, 5.4 Triton V-8, Ltd-slip Diff., Sliding rear window, 6 Cd, and Moonroof.

Cool

4x4....On the NC outer banks beaches couple times a year, snow every year or so. Use low range to pull boats out of ramps. Last 3 sport utes were 4x4, would have hated to not have it.

4x4 -- In Utah we have these things called mountains and where there are mountains, there is usually snow. Besides, you can't live in an outdoor recreation state like Utah and not have a 4x4 truck; at least not if you want to enjoy the outdoor possibilities.
