F2 is hungry for HP!! seems like im going to stick with my P1 and D1 the 4.10:1 step ratio takes much less power from the motor to spin it

turbos generate a significant amount of loss as well keep in mind in order to maintain 25psi of boost pressure you need at least 26lbs of back pressure in the exhaust system to maintain leverage on the impeller inside the turbo.

I would love to see a 2.3 and 3.4 liter Whipple up there. It's nice to see an independent test for a change instead of just the manufacturers statements. Actually I would be thrilled to death to see the fuel burn rate on the P1 on a 5.4. At least then I would have something to compare to. Troyer suspects my blower is eating around 50-60hp at 12.45psi. If he is right then flywheel hp would be 475rwhp+90hp drivetrain loss +60hp blower loss =625hp. If blower loss is 89hp like the P1 then I have 654 flywheel hp. And just think I'm pushing 13-14psi here on the coast

Meanwhile, the F2, at a range of 36,755 RPM (11.7 lbs) to 61,264 RPM (32.9 lbs), the losses climb from 75 horsepower up to 353 horsepower. That may seem like a lot of power to give up on the surface, but it’s actually quite efficient, and again you’ve gotta give some to make some.
Really sucks that the F1-R needs 50hp to make 10psi and the F2 robs a whopping 75hp to make 11.7psi.

Crash-great info. I would love to see video of red rum doing some street passes or track.
Do you think the PC brand of blowers would make more heat then a vortech/paxton?
The step up gears that help the PC get up to boost faster have to also work against
It once up and spooling?
