Troyer is a guru on all of them. He is actually a Roush man but he can tune any of them. The Saleen and the Whipple are both twin screw blowers. Anyway it dosen't really matter what blower it is. Its the settings in the tune.

Heck if I had a blower I'd contemplate driving all the way out there from here to get dyno tuned by Mike Troyer.

DO NOT LET TROYER TUNE YOUR SALEEN!!!!

There has been NO ONE with a Saleen happy with a Troyer tune!

JDM does do conservative mail order tunes. I gained 40rwhp on pump when he dyno tuned my truck.

You need to hook up the boost gauge and make sure you are getting 8lbs. When I installed my saleen I went straight to the 2.87 pulley, so I don't know how to compare to the 3.2 pulley.

Then you have to realize, you are only at maybe 380rwhp give or take a few. In a 5000lbs+ truck that is not a lot at all.

What is your configuration? Extended cab or Crew Cab?

Huitt24 on here has a crew cab, upgraded Roush charger, long tubes, built engine, gears, etc. and is mid 13's at around 420-440rwhp I beleive. Depending on the cab configuration these trucks can be absolute heavy beast and all though the power numbers seems high, they aren't going to be running 10's like mustangs will.

Also, don't let someones nifty burnout prove the power to you. Lots of factors come in on burnouts: weight of truck, weight of wheels, size of tires, grip/softness of tires, tread of tires, air pressure in tires, temp of tires, weather(how much power you are making), weather(temp of road surface), type of road surface, etc.

What was the weather like yesterday when you were driving? Did you verify your inter cooler pump is working?

I'm an SCAB. Not sure of boost, I'm trying to get the boost gauge hooked up now, but not having much luck finding out about the signal wire. I have multiple posts on numerous forums and a few PM's sent looking for the info. Hopefully I'll some clarification today.

Regarding Troyer, now I'm confused! Twinskrewd made a logical argument, but like I mentioned earlier, I thought Mike was recommended for a particular set-up (Roush, not Whipple; my mistake).

You can go on the saleen forums or Saleen club of America and read all the problem's people have been having with Troyers tunes. All of the problems go away when they go with another tuner.

I've personally played with a saleen supercharged regular cab, short bed, VERY similar mods except I had the 2.87 and the other guy had a 3.0, on a "closed course" and absolutely demolished the truck. His best pass was a low 14, where I'm at mid 12's before my latest rounds of "upgrades".

The only major difference? He spent 20k+ with Troyer and had all his work done by him, and I Spent about half that and had mail order JDM tune in my truck.

JDM is booked until August, that won't work for me. He did say the tune is conservative, so I'm guessing this is the issue. I may put it on the local dyno just to get a graph and go from there. I also asked him about the trannny and he said they wouldn't change anything unless I requested something specific. I was thinking if that was the case, then it could be tuned without messing with the tranny tune.

I'm waiting to hear back from Troyer and waiting to talk to the local tuner.

I think I have the gauges figured out, but won't know until later this afternoon when I have a chance to hook them. I some errands to run.

I'll keep the thread updated.

Change of plans, heading to the dyno for some pulls now!!

I'll post the graphs when done, although I'm sure they will be low until tuned.

Awesome let us know!

I'm thinking around 370-380rwhp. Depending on the dyno.

Not quite, 346 on the current tune. I'll post the graph when I get home later.

Somethings getting left on the table somewhere. What sort of dyno was it? I know Dyno-jets usually report higher numbers than some other dynos.

Post up your chart... a/f and the likes.

Was the pull in 3rd gear with the converter locked up?

It was a Dynamics Dyno and they apparently read lower than the others. If you take that into account, my numbers are around 375.

I don't know the specifics of the pulls and the graph I have only shows HP and TRQ values. I do know the AFs were 11.2-11.8 and transitions were good.

Show us the graph. Depending on the type of correction used it may be lower.

Dynamics Dyno reads LOW, even lower then a mustang dyno. So yes, you are doing about 370/380rwhp on a dynojet. Which is what most of our numbers compare too...
