so is 8 psi the max that the engine can take? cuz some guy was wanting to turbo his 07 4.2 @ 10 or 15 psi. i told him look into getting a new motor if he wanted to....but id really like to see your truck sometime this summer, if your ever near galveston, pearland, or anywhere like that. im keeping this truck, even when i get a new one, and would definitely like to slap a turbo on her...
8 is most u should run to be safe. (of course anything lower is even safer)
but 8 can also be unsafe its all in the tuning. its just when u start running over 11 depending on the intake u have it may split apart (the 01-03's with plastic 2 piece composite intakes)
and the rest of the drivetrain may not hold up either running over 8. i think my transmissions going to go first.
if the guy wants to run over 10 he needs to look into building up his motor, trans, and beef up the rear end.
