Yes and No. My former tuner tried...and dumped the Whipple tune! Whipple does theirs with Diablo and Whipple is limited it what they can alter. Troyer says he can do it. I'm currently waiting to take my truck to him to have it fine tuned.

You can conservatively expect Mike Troyer to get you another 10% on your HP and TQ #s with a custom tune over the Whipple/Ford generic SC tune.

I got another 30HP with my dyno tune here. More to come when the pulley swap is sorted out.

Good luck,

Lee

I am thinking about whipple or Roush for my truck and what tuner should I buy for the custom tune. I found a dyno shop close by that does only mustangs and lightning's/F-150's and they are darn good at it!

Find out what software the shop you found is using and that's what you'll want to get so they can tune you.

I would suggest you call Troyer. My post above was a mustang tuner with high marks on them. Our trucks are different due to the weight etc. The guy had mu truck slamming gears. Ok for a feather weight stang but not a 6000# truck! I am now back to the Ford racing tune. Pretty good but there is more to be had.

I just had the Whipple installed in CA and brought the truck to AZ. I had a Holley S/C before which I junked and gained 200 HP. I am also using the SCT chip.
