Save your dough and forget the chip until you get the turbo setup installed...you'll need a custom tune anyways.

If you're only looking to run 6psi or so, I'd save your money and get the STS.
But if you plan on upping the boost later on, then the Pro Turbo kit ought to be better for higher boost levels, methinks.

Just make sure your engine is in good shape.
I'd look into a valve body or separator plate for your tranny, like from Factory Tech. I'd also look into an additional tranny cooler.

IMHO a larger MAF (from a Lightning), 255L/hr fuel pump and larger injectors (42# is a good choice) are good ideas. IMHO install everything at once, then get it tuned on a dyno.

Compression check or leak down test. You don't want to throw a turbo on an engine that's about ready to lose a ring.

I believe any local shop can do it. It doesn't have to be a high performance shop. You shouldn't have a problem finding a place.

Where are you located at? The pro turbo kits were built from my trucks. I have been installing them since the conception. The STS is a very nice system, but is also limited in what you plan on doing with it. If a motor upgrade is in the plan, then I would go pro-turbo. If you need pics just go to www.turbof150.com. If you have any questions please ask and I will answer the best that I can

im located in Sacramento California. Im really leaning toward the pro kit because i have a lifted truck and every once in a while do take it wheeling and just dont like the idea of a turbo rite there like the sts system

You could have Sal at PSP tune it at Mike Dunn's annual dyno tuning day...Mike's up near San Jose.

On all stock internals plus mods listed below, how safe would the STS system be on an 04+ 4.6L engine? I don't want to make my truck do mach 9, just looking for a SAFE power increase. I've been eyeing them lately and Uncle Sam is about to shoot me some serious cash, so I've been considering it. Opinions wanted.
