The silver truck we're discussing.

If the mirror base on that truck was black it would look better since the entire window area is already black. With the silver mirror base it cuts up the flowing lines. It's all about the look.

another way to fix this instead of painting the mirror again, is doing silver reflective tint

 

that doesnt sound like a fix at all. but that is what i'm gonna put on my windshield when i get it replaced. looks great on there

o ok, i'm too lazy to click links. yes, it looks like there's a base covering the window. but we are all smart enough to know that it isnt. so this point can be nullified by simply rolling the "black" window down.
this discussion is so retarded tho, because regardless whoever's truck it is is going to do whatever they want. im not puttin any of those on my truck tho, so it won't matter; but my base will be ptm. it's all about doing what you feel looks best on your truck. screw our opinions haha

I had the ss mirrors on my truck with them ptm and i hated them i should have left them black base with black mirror or black base with painted mirror would look good
