89 F150 3/5 lowering kit?
Hello everyone I have an 89 F150 that I have been workin on for a while now.. its been repainted and has a killer system in it. It has an orginal 78,000miles, complete hooker exhaust system, KN intake, TBS, and GT40 aluminum heads on it and Im going to be doing a DJM 3/5 lowering kit on her and I was wanting to know if anyone has had this done to theres? and if you got any pics so I can have a general idea. I have to do dream beams up front and a flip kit in back. Im kinda stuck on the whole "ball joint" removal and instalation and this will be my first time doing it so Im kinda scared. Any info or comments would be helpful.
Heres a pic from halloween last year just out of paint
I just turned 19 so go easy on me

truck looks good. sounds like you are on your way to a nice rig. dont let the ball joints bother you. it would be a simple thing to take the new dream beams up to a shop that has a press and let them press them into the new beams for you. i havent put a drop on that year model before so i cant tell you exactly how you go about doing it.
on another note.... that year model has a pretty square front end. have you looked into doing a front clip swap from a later model like a 96?

Yeah I have a concept 95 that I plan on taking apart and using lots of parts.. For example front end, mirrors, hood, front quarter panels etc... Another question I had was how do you all think a 3/5 lowering would look? And if you got pics of that kit I would like to see some pics, it dont have to be same year or nothing

i think that a 3/5 would look good on your truck.
this is mine. it has a DJM 2/4. on my year model 3/5 get to be pretty low and you start bottoming out on the bump stops more often. with the 2/4 i RARELY hit the stops. im not sure on your year but i think you may have more room between the frame rails to where a 3/5 wont be a problem.
not sure what drop this guy is running but it gives you an idea...

You must not know how to read I already have DJM 3in drop I beams and a DJM 5in flip kit for the rear.. Belltech dont make beams that drop 5in. only 3in. I was wanting to know about going lower and if drop coils would work but I found out it would give me negative camber without drop spindles and no company makes drop spindles for my truck

IMHO, Bell Tech QA has gone down from where it was years ago. You have a really nice truck and IMHO, take a visit to a local suspension/spring shop....Eibach, Eaton, etc all make really nice spring assemblies and depending on how low you want to go, most springs shops can re-arc (Hot only,,,,don't do cold process) the springs to set the ride height to what you want.
