Not a fan of on the seat boxes. I hope you sealed the hell out of it. I didnt see any sealant on the outside of the box or on those mistapped holes. Carpeting job looks great.

Believe me I sealed that thing like crazy it dried clear so that might be why you cant tell its sealed. Why are you not a fan of a box on the seat, if you do it right it'll look nice. I had a underseat box before but it didn't give me that deep bass.

Not my cup of tea, but if you personally like it then that's all that matters.

Sub box bouncing around on a rear seat doesnt sound like a good idea to me. Plus the point of a quad cab is to have more room, which u just used up 1/3 of it because you didnt want to get the right drivers for under your seat.

Plus it also screams steal me. But, if it tickles your fancy..

Np man it's all good. I had no idea what to do before I made mine. But I'm about to redo mine and sell this box probably

porkcereal. It doesn't bounce around really at all. Mines been inthere for over 2 yrs now. And there's not enough room under te rear seats in the 97-98 ext cab trucks due to the seat frame configureation. I pulled my seats out and tried every which way. An with 5% tint on all the rear windows it's hard to see from outside and drives the subs great since it's got a good amount of airspace and mine has the second sub hidden.

Ya mine doesn't move either its in a 99 ext. cab, at first i had these subs in a small box under the seat that was made for my truck, it was ok but not what i wanted. Now im tryin to sell that box to get new subs.

I've been looking at JLW3, Boston Acoustic G3, and Kicker CVRs, but have never heard JL or Boston in person.

If you get in a rollover accident with rear seat passengers, that thing is going to kill them. Its just not an ideal location. You can easily put a great sounding subwoofer hidden under the seat of a 07-03 F150.

if i get into a roll over the 97-03's arent know to be the safest either way and dont plan on it.

also like i said in my post you quoted. the 97-98 rear seat is different from the 99-03 and makes it virtually impossible to put a setup underthere without using a 3-4" seat lift. dont matter either way cus im gonna build a center console one now anyway.

Id like to see someone build a box and build seats into it. That would be sweet.

^^^ pat (patman03screw) took out the middle seat in his silver truck and made a box that sat there and he said he built it strong enough to sit on haha.

But I have seen one or two cool boxes that we're built into the bottom of the front jumpseat in the 04-08 trucks
