So I bit the bullet and ordered some pioneer ts-d6802 for my front doors on my 04 screw. Im only running the stock HU for now but will upgrade to the pioneer AVH-P4200DVD in a few months.

 

Right there with you AZ. I put the Infinity 6832's in my front doors. Got a Kenwood KAC-8404 and a set of Infinity 6830 comps at the house. The comps are going up front and the 6832's to the rear. Waiting now to be able to pick up the 4200-DVD to finish out the package. You're gonna be pleased with the difference just the speakers makes.

Do not use those damn foam baffles though. I ordered some from Crutchfield with my 6832's and the sound was disappointing. After a week or so I took the baffles out and the bass difference is unbelievable. They distorted badly with the baffles, not without.

Head to Best Box and get some speaker adapter harnesses. With harnesses in hand it will be less than an hour's job to get all four swapped. Remember to tie back the extra harness length to the speaker body so it doesn't snag on the window mechanism.

Metra 72-5600. My local store didn't keep them out front. The clerk in Auto Audio had to get a couple sets from the install bay.

I did order the harness adapters and the foam baffles. Guess ill see how they sound. Should be here this week!
