JL 12w7 custom build

well today i decided to go ahead and go big and get the 12 in w7.
I picked it up for 500 bucks brand new and now planning to build a custom box where the single seat is in the back. i was wondering if anyone had any advice if they've build a box there before or anything at all
Let me know what yall think and i will of course take pictures through out the process.

My only suggestions are

2) sealed enclosure

i didnt even notice the picture size but i fixed that. sorry

you think i should go sealed? i was thinking ported even though it would be a harder build,
i thought it would hit alot harder..? correct me if im wrong.
i found the specs for building a box in the manual which are 15.5X15.5X22.5 which gives it a 1.75 cu. ft air space.

another thing i forgot to say is that im going to build a custom metal frame that will go around the box to bolt down to the frame and seat frame so that it cant get stolen like my last one

well i decided that i would just order a box that is profesionally made for the W7.
I ordered this box last night off ebay and should have it by next tuesday.
Custom 12W7 box

i went over to the local shop whom ive very good friends with and they gave me an old crappy box to use in the meantime.

i have a MTX jackhammer 600 watt amp already but am thinking about upgrading to the alpine 1000 watt or the MTX jackhammer 1200 watt.
what amp do yall think i should go with.

Because the only way that box will fit is if it is right behind you, in which case the port is firing right between the two front seats. And since you said you want it to hit hard, I assume you will be listening to a lot of bass heavy music...which means lots of port noise right behind you.

im flipping up the rear single seat and placing it there. the port will be down towards the floor. i dont see that as a problem but we'll see.
Today i took out all of my rcas, speaker wire for the 4 channel, power wire and threw it out!
im gunna run a 9 wire for my 4 channel and get new rca's and power and ground.
will 4ga be enough or should i got with 1ga
