having two 2 ohm subs on a mon amp the amp runs at one ohm, that is alot of power running through the amp like a river, it can be rough on any amp, the jl amps are rated for 500 watts rms at 1.5 to4 ohm... they are very efficient ther , less waste means less heat, less distortion go 4 ohm for the subs http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=439

also alot of the jl haters are because of the price, and that jl doesnt allow warrenty on un authorized dealers, any quality product costs the same as jl. for amps u will pay about a dollar a watt for anything good

Dude, if you want the most for your money you will want investment protection. What I mean is you want warranties. Dealercost websites and such dont give you those warranties. The JLs with warranty is gonna cost a lot more. IDQ10v3s would cost about the same as the JLs and will murder them.

That Cadence amplifier comes with a 5 year warranty.
