I'm not. I'm just trying to explain the differences between mainstream/orient and quality products, but no one will listen to the facts, yet no one has used quality equiptment to compare.

To be honest I've never had the chance to test any out so I can't answer that question.
You talk bad about them but you've never used or heard them?

While I personally dont believe Kicker's are great subwoofers, its because I have heard MANY of them firsthand. However, if someone wants to beat down the block, kickers are damn near perfect for them.

I wouldn't comment about a product unless you have heard/used it first hand, especially when people here are basing their decisions off what we say.

No...you didn't read the two questions I replied to. I have never heard or messed with shallow mount subs. Sure the kickers will beat while distorting and not being accurate and the L series have a reputation of burning up. I have heard and tested many Kicker products btw.

The only shallow mount i've played with was the Pioneer Premier series 12 and i couldn't get it to sound anywhere near satisfactory. I have high hopes for the SI BMs.

The only Kicker subwoofer i have come even close to liking is the CVX. Still didn't sound great, but sounded better than their square L series and still had some authority.

your talkign about shallow mounts distorting? i had 2 10" clarion shallow mounts at one point and i had never heard of them in my life and i was completely suprised by the output and clarity that they had, if you knew soo much you would know that distortion is caused by the amp clipping because of gains and or bass boost up too high, if you set the amp up right no subs should distort

oh ya the L series will do that but thats due to the square cone, but like previously said a properly tuned amp and propely built box can prevent all this, while in the same case a CVX would certainly sound better

just because i agree with you on one thing doesnt mean the rest of what you have said makes sense, kickers are not crap, jl is not crap, just because it is not made in the united states does not make it crap, there is a reason why the BIG 3 auto makers are in crap right now and the foreign car companies are not, for the most part their vehicles are more reliable, although i wouldnt think of buyin a foreign truck, the reason companies make products in other countries is because its cheaper to buy the material there and the labor is also cheaper there which results in lower cost in the united states

Dude pay attention to what I've been saying...There are good overseas companies ex:focal, morel, rainbow. Just not the ones from the orient. I said there are a few good overseas companies that are good along with US products. Compared to a MMATS amp for example, yes kicker and jl suck. To the average audio guy such as yourself, who has obviously never been involved with high end equiptment to compare oriental stuff to, sure those brands sound good to the average joe that has never heard quality. Your argument is invalid seeing as how you've never dealt with anything besides mainstream stuff.

Most of the Big 3 vehicles are made in Canada and Mexico.

keep in mind: install > equipment. I would take active polk SRs in a top notch install over rainbows slapped into the stock holes.

Otherwise, what you've said is mostly true.

You said Rainbow was a US made product a few hours ago

Now they are an overseas company? How did they move so fast?

Thank you. I wasn't impressed by the SR's.

In the first one you highlighted that's a COMMA after us made stuff which means I wasn't listing it as us made. Ever taken a grammer class?
