10s or 12s

10s better for like, Rock and Country
12s mainly just rap and a deeper harder hitting bass. Or am I completely confused? Preciate it.

All depends on the quality of the woofer.

Say Kicker CVR 10 vs. Kicker CVR 12...

Also does a shallow mount, have any different attributes compared to a regular?

Ehh don't get Kicker's man. Low quality parts, don't sound good, not built strong.

To be honest I've never had the chance to test any out so I can't answer that question.

I'm getting rid of the stuff I have now, and completely getting new stuff. I was hoping for box under seat=169, 2 12s and Amp and wiring kit for like 500-550?

Woah. Well there's no combination of new products that I can recommend for that price with a box and wires. If I were you I'd hit ebay up and try and find a cheap well maintained older amplifier and start there such as ppi, anything made and designed by zed, xtant, autotek, linear power, mmats, us amps, zapco, arc, rockford fosgate, kicker, and I'm sure I forgot a bunch, but that's off the top of my head. PM me for more info if you want. You should be able to find one at a decent price so you'll have money left over for the rest.

oh good god you have got be be joking me, first of all shallow mounts are just that shallow not really THAT much of a difference SPL wise compared to a regular sub in its class (Ex: cvt and cvr) however in my experience kicker cvt's dont sound as clean as the cvr's but i have heard good things about the p3 shallow mount
