Kenwood or TMA 500 watt mono?

I am going to install my substage next weekend and had my mind made up until I got another suggestion. I just wanted to run to options by you guys with more experience.

#1 - Kenwood KFCW2511 10" sub with a Kenwood KAC8103D 500/1 amp driving.

#2 - JL 10W1v2 10" with a TMA 500.1 driving

#3 - JL 12WV2 12" with same TMA 500.1 driving.

Thanks again and the next post will be a review of how substage sounds with Styxnpicks cheap 5X7, factory H/U and new substage.

Sorry about that JL 12W1V2

One if my concerns with the 12" is the airspace. Box will only have .65

Thanks

A TMA 500.1 would end up destroying a W1 if your not sure what your doing exactley....

Eitherway, I would take a JL/Total combo over Kenwood any day of the week.

OK JL it is. What would you recommend to prevent damage?

Would the Kicker CVT 12" be a better choice than a JLW1 12"?

Going in at 9:30am tomorrow and down to JLW1 or Kicker CVT. Let's hear it boys which should it be?

Will have pics and review tomorrow evening

If your running something like the w1, which is around 125-150 watt RMS, then an amp around 300wrms at the appropriate impedence would be much safer on a pair of them, unless you know what you are doing fairly well (how to set things up correctly and what to listen for), then by all means, go ahead and throw 500wrms on a pair...

Cant comment on the W1 vs. CVT, sorry :o
