What???
My wife and neighbors thought you made a good suggestion.
The IDQ 12's made my mirrors and windows shake and the infinity subs don't.

Got home a little early and poped the seat back out, installed those FMods, reset gains... life is good.... they work like a champ...
didn't drag the RTA out to check cut off at 200Hz, but sounds like around 200 to me...

Thanks Guys for talking me from 500Hz to 200Hz, 500Hz would have been to high for sure.... 200Hz is sounding a touch higher than I needed. but will do the job....

Anywho,

Id just pop it in and see how it sounds to you. Just because JL recommends that size doesnt mean it will work best for you and your application. You might like it better, who knows. Im betting you wont be able to tell much of a difference though...
Its always good to experiment with boxes to see what you like best.
I think you said you were running 700 or so watts??? If so, 8 gauge is definatley to small, 4 gauge at a minimum is what I would be running, which it sounds like you did.

Jwool...The D6s are a pretty nice sounding woofer. Played with a few and I actually do like them, actually considered a pair of 10s to downgrade but decided against it.
I hear people saying they really like to be powered in that 700-1000wrms range to really come alive. Any that Ive heard where not being ran over thier RMS, so I couldnt comment on that, but even being ran at RMS or below (which is the type of setup Ive heard them on) they did pretty good.
since i changed it up i left out my passive crossover and used the lpf on the amp to cross over, but only the left side would play,so i swaped the left and right rca tos if i had a channel burned out, nope it worked, so then i started checking each connection with my multi meter, every thing showed power to it,,,im like ok i have a bad rca cable,so today i put it back in full range and used the crossover both channels were working fine,i called tech support and told them the situtation, they said that they had never heard of that prob before, they were scratching there heads also, they gave me a few test to run. then call them back with results, im takeing it to my audio dealer tommrow. they r going to run tha test if same problem happens to them, they r sending my amp and rca cable to the manufactor, they wont to test it then , since they have never heard of something like that happening,,,,,have u seen something like this, or have any ideas or suggestions on what it might be.

Styxnpicks I agree breaker=fuse. The only problem with breakers is if a customer has a real problem and pops the breaker they will just keep resetting it till it melts the wire out of the car, where if they blow a fuse and actually have to spend money on a new one they might actually ask whats wrong.

F150truckin a buddy of mine was in his stand and saw a deer go by but was just out of reach from his bow. The deer headed towards his truck a ways away. As the deer got closer to the truck he hit the panic on his remote sending it back toward him and came in range. The 12 point rack is on his wall. Gotta love the range of an astrostart.
