For you audio guys

alright i dont know why im posting this here but nowhere better to post, since you all have audio setups (mostly)

im going to college in a month and im gonna be bringin my truck after the first month, and i want to install an aftermarket alarm system (college campuses are notorious for theft).

As some of you may know i have some blingin audio equipment ( dont hate) and will also be storing hunting stuff in my truck most likely, wouldnt want anyone breaking in. plus i may upgrade my stereo soon we'll see.

I want an alarm that is good quality for a good cost. i know some stuff about audio n such but know absolutely nothing about alarms. someone point me in the right direction. thanks.

ive got the python 990, it includes remote start. i like it because its got 2 way paging, along with the lcd screen to see exactly what sensor is going off. also it transmits on a 900mhz rf signal so its got good range.

Hit Travis up at www.kcautosound.com

Alot of us have used his Code Alarm systems. They will tie into the keypad so that you can arm/disarm the system. He has several to offer and will pre-wire them and give you a step by step installation guide to install them.

I just ordered a CA680 from Travis. Got broke into last week. Hoping the pager will lat least give me a chance to inflict some pain. C*ck smokers took my freaking golf clubs, worth nothing to anybody but me.

Nope, not a lefty. Actually, they were a nice set, but scuffed up from use and slightly customized. They wouldn't be able to sell them for much at all. I ordered some new one from TGW, but still the deductable on my homeowners insurance was $1000 Car insurance won't cover personal items left in car.

Check out the DEI stuff. It is really good stuff (when installed right...). But do your checking on the installer. The alarm is only as good as the installer that installed it. I know the DEI (Viper, Hornet, Clifford, Python) and i really do recommend the 2-way. It will save you! If anything is going on with your truck YOU WILL KNOW! And haul off with a bat (wrench, large metallic damage inflicting object!). Dont get into too much trouble

Another recommendation here for travis at kcautosound.com. Very easy to install his prewired alarms yourself. Travis is also a great guy and very helpful.

To much

That would be just straight posting. Add the time I spend just browsing on here and it would add up to a fair chunk of my life
