If I understand it correctly, the Kick is designed to work with a subwoofer and not without one. It may have a much sharper crossover rolloff. But, Bryan will probably know better about it.

Pretty much what dconder said...with the Kicks, you need to run a subwoofer with them. Here's more info:

Well looking at the audiojunkies website the only thing left of the rainbows is the 230s. Will they fit and are they worth getting? Or would it just be better to look somewhere for the 265s and pay more?

Come to think of it. Will the 230 components from rainbow and 5X7 coaxials fit into the stock openings so I don't have to mod anything?

Looks like they are getting rid of OZ Audio,Aura Sound and the only thing they have left from SI is a pair of BM12 d4's.

From something I read on another forum, audiojunkies is getting out of car audio all together. I have been trying to find a pair of BM10's with no luck.

F150...you might try www.speedsound.com.

Yes, the speakers are 5x7/6x8. The 230s will fit, just need an adapter/baffle.

I like a 6.5 just a little better though.

Would the 6.5 fit though without having to modify anything? Would they need and adapter/baffle too? I'm more of a plug and play guy right now.

only 5x7/6x8 will be plug and play, 5 1/4 once mounted on adapter would be plug and play... 6 1/2 will not be plug and play.... but 6 1/2 and sealed doors are whats need for good midbass....

Well I already sealed the inner part of the door (between the sheetmetal) and the outer part of the metal door (that is behind the plastic cover) with dynamat xtreme. Then I put carpet padding all behind the plastic door instead of just at the bottom.

I did this awhile ago when I did the LT doorhandle conversion. My road noise went WAY down and the audiophile system actually started sounding better.

So are there adapters for the 6 1/2?

So I take it that 6 1/2s are better then 5x7/6x8?

Thanks again,

Duke
