front upper door panels. Bought some tweets to install in factory location but it's now 1am and i'm not taking it apart tonight (or tomorrow it gonna pour) just curious about mounting options based on hole size. Thanks

 

Not sure of the mounting hole diameter to be exact, but I had to trim mine ever so slightly to fit my tweeters (RE Audio). Just about any tweeter will fit in there. And the plastic is soft if you need to trim a little. I used a dremel to round it out just a little.

 

I had to trim as well.. Alpine components. Used a hole saw.

Some with the "Premium" audio package will have the seperates up front. By the way, with those who have used the factory tweeter location, how are you getting the grill back on? I bought a set of Infinity tweeters and there is no way they would fit without interfering with the grill.

 

3/4" but most tweets nowadays are 1" so you will have to enlarge the hole and flush mount them.

 

I got the same (Infinity component tweeters) and grill won't go back on. Thought about drummeling out a hole in the grill for the front of the tweeter to fit through then glueing on a small round tweeter grill but can't find any anywhere. Any other ideas?

 

my MB Quarts comps had the same prob, i fixed mine by sanding the tweeter area of the grill down ~ 1/16th of an inch and it snapped back on.

 

More than likely not the size you need. Very easy to trim on like others have said, and you dont have to worry about being to pretty since no one will see it

 

you hope! my girlfriend pulls the speaker grille off just to stair at the comps , she says its interesting to watch the mids

 

If anyone tried to pull my speaker grill off I would probably beat them with it. "Your going to break a tap off dumba$$!" Haha, Im **** about people messing with my stuff, especially my vehicle.

It she thinks that intersting wait till you get those subs thrown in.
