Right amp for subs

Hey would this amp be okay to use for running 2 image dynamics 8 inch subs rated a handling 50-300 rms? Bartak advised me that i should use my 600 watt RF amp to push my components and to get a mono amp for the two subs. Here is the amp http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

and here are the subs
http://imagedynamicsusa.com/tech_pag...type=sub&id=id

Thanks for the help.

No, that amp is 500w RMS (from what I can tell from the ad). If you want a good, cheap amp then seek out the MB Quart Reference amps on ebay or crutchfield.

Screw the Kenwood amp IMO.

Your going to want something in the 500-700 watt RMS range that can make that power at either 4 ohm, or 1 ohm.

Once my wheels start turnin and I start thinking I will post back with some amps you can look at.

I figure the max rms output would be 300 each. I dont want to be anywhere near that so would this one work out.
http://www.millionbuy.com/diad34004.html or this one

http://www.millionbuy.com/diad34002.html

One is a 4 channel and the other one is a two channel but both have 400 rms.

Thanks again

What?? Pushing your subs at there RMS wattage with clean power isnt going to hurt anything. Most subs can over thier rated power, and the ID subs you have will just laugh at 350 watts-so-read on.

Those D3's reminded me of the D3600.1. Underrated 600watts rms at 1 ohm (around 700 watts actually) Solid azz good amp. Rob Zeff designed(founder of Zapco-some of the best amps) You can get new ones on eBay for 220 bucks. Diamond makes good amps, I would take one of those amps in a second.

Thanks Bartak again, the amp you are talking about; is it also a diamond audio? Also im buying distributor block now and was gonna go ahead and order speaker wire. What gauge wire do i need for the components? The infinity 51/4 compnents? I got speaker wire for the subs already. Thanks

Yep, the D3 600.1 is a Diamond Audio amp.
http://diamondaudio.com/products/ind...&line=3&model= Scroll to the bottom

16 gauge will work fine for your component speakers
