Offroad trip, calling Dave, Shines and others...

Those with 4x4's lets get them dirty come Feb or March. Barnwell is a great facility somewhat near Dallas. I was thinking maybe a Saturday Sunday trip, we could wheel a bit, camp, drink & B.S. Any takers on the idea? I def wouldnt do any trails rated higher than a 1 or 2 so no vehicle damage or hardcore wheeling would be involved, but it would let us us 4wd finally. Thoughts?

Since you were calling Shines...

"Hello, you have reached the cell phone voice mail of Shines. Sorry that I am unable to answer your call now, but if you leave a detailed message, I will call you back as soon as I am available. Have a nice day."

Set the date, and I will see if I am available.

Used 4x4 last weekend while hunting. 4x4 came in real handy, almost had to pull out my brother-in-laws POS Chebby.

Hell yeah! Sounds awesome! I would love to go. Thats exactly what I have been wanting to do. I am in. Lets set a date!!!! I too can not go over heavy stuff. My truck is stock for now. But hell I wouldnt mind getting it a little dirty. I might have some nice mud terrain tires by then too with a leveling kit.

I just looked it up. Its two hours and fifteen minutes east of downtown Dallas.

And those without 4x4 bring your trucks anyway. We can always pull ya out or you can ride with someone that has a 4x4. My truck has plenty of room.

I think the 23rd and 24th would be great days for it. It should still be pretty cool out so it will be nice camping and not sweating to death in the tents. And sitting around the fire drinking whiskey after a day of wheeling might be fun.

Awesome Dave glad to hear your in! I have gone here 2x before, great park. The camp spots are miles from each other and huge. The scenery is amazing and the trails are all well marked and reasonably wide. Im with you my truck is stock with 20's, but I figure we can find some light trails to go down, meet everyone and get tore up around the camp fire. Are you thinking Feb or March? Im ready tp lock down a date
