Arlington Texas come in....Looking for a truck shop.

Can anyone here in or around Arlington, Texas recommend a place to get my autospring installed. It was just delivered and the local shop is swamped with other work and can't install it before I leave for TX on the 5th.

I plan on taking it with me and having a shop install it while I'm there for 2 weeks.

I haven't been there yet, but I bet Truck Toys off Pioneer Pkwy. would do it. I know they do lifts so I'm sure they could handle a leveling kit. That's where I plan on getting mine done. Let me know how it works out.

There are a couple of 4 wheel parts wholesalers stores here also. 1 in Ft Worth (close to Arlington), 1 in Dallas and 1 in Plano. I live on the other side of DFW so I dont know of the independent shops on that side of town.

Thanks for the replies. I'll be calling Truck Toys tomorrow morning.

Texaggie, I'll let you know what price I'm quoted.

bwood4x4,

Is CD's the name or is that an acronym. I'll search the yellow pages or see if my Dad knows of the shop. He's off of south Cooper in a sub that's between Cooper/Matlock.

Thanks, I'll be calling them next.

BTW, Truck Toys quoted me 180, which is still better than here in FL.

I think the place he's talking about is CD's Performance. There is a huge difference in price between those two. Maybe Truck Toys comes with alignment but CD's doesn't. I don't know. Let me know how it turns out!

I don't know...I just called them this week. Tuesday I think. 817-468-4700. I asked how much they would charge for the install of a leveling kit. He asked me if it was a Daystar. He said $75 without the alignment. I'll try calling and asking again tomorrow. I'll post when I find something out.

I just spoke with CD's and they quoted me $125 this time. Still a good deal. That's for the Daystar. She said they have done a lot of those. They had not installed any autospring.

I'm planning on being there (CD's) on the 6th so if you beat me there be sure to post the price. I'll do the same...If you happen to be there around the same time, I'll be the silver FX4 w/Florida tags.

bwood4x4,

Have you installed your autosping yet? Just curious, I'll be headin' out tomorrow and just wanted to check to see if you've had a chance to swing by CD's yet.

Anyone else have rocommendations, I'm all ears.

No, not yet. I have a birthday in a couple of weeks and have hinted to the fiancee' so we'll see. She's trying to find me a storage unit for under the back seat so we'll see. Let me know how yours turns out. Are you using CD's?

So far CD's is offering the best price. I'll probably make a few calls on Wednesday before I take the plunge.

Good luck with the birthday, tell you what, once you're married the gifts just keep on getting better.
