I agree with Kd4crs. Good move on that, I appreciate the chance. I know it's a resource hog but it's pruneable. Thanks Steve.

Threads going downhill here....

Hey Steve,
What do you think about a reputation minimum to start new threads?

Without casting any stones here, I'll venture an opinion:

I think the reputation feature presents a huge opportunity for abuse that many will take advantage of. What does everyone else think?

I think its a waste. I got one rep and it was a bad one. Someone asked if a remstart was any good and I said as simply as i could RUN AWAY RUN AWAY FAST!! So they would get the point immediately. Some girl gave me a bad rep point even though I replied several times with additional info on what was what, including answering additional questions asked by the original thread starter. I looked into posts from my bad rep replier (who added nothing to the thread by the way) and found her reply to show us your roush 20's was a picture of her cat. DDUUHHH!!!! talk about stupid posts.

That would be an interesting idea but I think it should be reversed, if you have too much bad rep, starting threads should be revoked. Not enough people know how to give and take rep yet for that to be effective (just my opinion bud) but it's a great idea. I think for the most part, if you're a good poster you will get a good amount of Rep over the bad. I think new posters should not be allowed to give rep so people can't just create a username and start de-rep'ing someone. Mountaineer and people like him are just abusing this feature but I'm not worried, most people enjoyed the work I put into making the videos and most repped for the better. I don't see why I deserved so many bad reps for that post as I received, but when it was revealed who repped me down it was just regular haters on the forum. I think it's a good feature but is subsceptible to abuse. Neat little feature, I think taking away "disapproving posts" would be best, that way people cannot abuse it. But it also removes the regulars ability to filter out the "mountaineer's" so I have no solution. Neat update Steve, will take some time but I see it possibly working. Is there anyway you can view who is abusing the reputation function? If there are too many it might not even be worth it.

Think about this and try to get this through your head. You come on here, complain that people are giving you a bad rep that you don't understand why and believe that we the people are abusing this feature.

Do you really think name calling on the forum "example you claim I'm a douche in your own words" do you really think that deserves a good rep?? I mean really, you think I'm going to give you a good rep for that? I've been reading most of your Lame post and threads all a long on the boards and trust me, you have stirred up the pot on a regular basis and have had a lot of guys that you have pissed off.

All that bad rep you have been getting for the most part has been faithful I believe but you just don't want to make yourself believe that a lot of the guys don't like you after all the sissy fits you through at the guys in the 04-06 f150 forum.

I myself have not abused this feature, and you got what was coming for you. You can't expect to start name calling everybody like you have been lately and except to get a good rep. You say you do not care, but obviously you do care if you go out of your way crying to Steve saying you don't understand why you have bad reps.

You have not yet taken the advice RP has been giving you the last few weeks, and I recommend you go back and re-read his post toward you.
