It is all about the Customer Service Rep you talk to. I got a great deal on two radios because the Rep wanted to know how to set up an a la carte plan. Good Luck...luck it is.

I just started my 6 month free service to Sirius and Travel Link (equipped in my Ford Flex). I've been told not to renew till after my trial runs out because it might last longer than 6 months. True? I'm not really interested in the radio part of Sirius but you have to have that to have Travel Link. Is my best bet to call them when my sat is turned off or let them call me? Do I need some kind of code for this $77 price and did that include Travel Link? Whatever I end up paying is only going to be used for the Travel Link amenities so that's why I'm trying to get the price down as low as I can. Travel Link is $6 a month but not available as a stand alone.
Thanks,
Monica

That's what I did today. Went from $160/6 months for 2 radios to $142/year for 2 radios. Sweet.

I let the free trial expire after six months. Then I received the $77 renewal letter. Sounds like a good deal for 1-yr subscription of Sirius.

In regards to the Sirius lifetime subscription...I have been a Sirius lifetime subscriber since Sirius began. The tuner I have had all this time recently broke and needed to be replaced. I purchased a replacement from BestBuy and called Sirius to have the account transferred to the new radio. Surprisingly, I was told that to transfer the lifetime subscription, I would be charged $75.00. I was also advised that I am only allowed three transfers on a lifetime plan. After 3 transfers, you are no longer allowed to make another transfer even if the radio stops working...you are just stuck with a broken radio.
When asked how this could be...I was told "Read your terms and conditions and write to corporate if you don't like it." Quite the friendly response for a customer who paid for a lifetime subscription when Sirius began. Needless to say, I did go and read the terms and conditions. Apparently you are not charged the $75 if your radio is stolen. Therefore, it appears that Sirius penalizes the customers for being honest when they transfer service on a broken radio and rewards those for being a "victim" of a theft. In the end, I called Sirius and told them the radio was stolen...they credited my account for the $75.
I hate having to do it this way, but I am not willing to pay $75.00 for a transfer of service. If I ever use all of my transfers...you can bet that I will cancel my subscription. Thanks for the wonderful service, Sirius.

With their crappy customer service, Sirius won't be around long. I just renewed both of my radios for one year, $77 for the F250 and $52 for the Edge. I really hope there's another choice by this time next year.

Just called Sirius for the third time in 2 months, as I now have about 10 days on my 6 month new Ford freebie left . I was told the $77.00 a year program was only offered to accounts that had been discontinued as an incentive to renew and it was discontinued about 6 weeks ago. Best I could get was a years renewal with the Ford discount : $149.00 + fees and would get 2 months free or a monthly pay as I go setup. They can keep the damn satellite radio, my trucks cd player works great !

Exactly. I have plenty of my own music and a lot of good stations here in D/FW. People like satellite radio but nobody needs it. It's a luxury item and no way am I paying $150 for it! I got the $77 deal ONLY after my trial expired and ONLY after I called them and told them (lied) that I got a offer in the mail for a half-price deal. Still it was $96 by the time I hung up the phone.

best thing to do is call them tell them you want to cancel your subscription they will ask what it will take to keep you as a costumer tell $77 bucks and no b.s. fees. when you get your invoice and they add these fees call them and tell them you don't want there service and they will do what ever want to keep ya as a customer.
