Poll: Is it required to post your sig in EVERY post ?

Post your opinion

In my humble opinion its excessive to post your signature in every tread let alone every post

AND if you post it more than once in a thread you should be banned.. for a week...

Oh and if your sig pis is bigger than about 250 x 250 its too big

Another week long ban...
What do you think ?

But let's be fair, overuse of the quote feature is deserving of a week long ban as well. **I will pacify fellow members by not posting my sig**

If we had avatars then we could get rid of these big sig pics.
I like (the smaller) sigs because they help to identify users.

I don't understand this whooptydoo over sigs all of a sudden. While I agree some members have sigs that could be considered too large, the majority of people use sigs that are of appropriate size. At least no one here uses animated sigs (no one I've seen anyway), now there's something that slows down loading and browsing. Especially if your computer doesn't have a huge amount of memory (like mine). Another forum that I'm a member with allows animated sigs and even with a cable hookup it still can take a full 1-2 minutes for a page to load.

As for using the sig with every post, we're allowed to have 'em so why not use them.

SIG ALERT! SIG ALERT!

SIG ALERT! SIG ALERT!
Its redundant and ridiculous in my opinion

Because it slows down the reading of the thread

read 2 words scroll past stealths sig, read 1 sentance another 4 inch sig,
another 5 words stealths sig again ...

Awsome thread. Personally I feel its OK to use your sig for every post in a thread. For me it has always help identify where I need to be in a thread, I have each thread set to show the max number of posts (50 per page, I think?) and the sigs help me scroll through and find my place.

On the flip side, I dispise the huge sigs and wish a 500x100 pixel limit would be slapped on them (roughly the size of a banner ad). <SNIP>
