just took a clean soft bristle wash bush and washed with only water. dont wash with soap it'll leave a residue. also hose down the floor when painting it'll keep the dust down .

To do the fade, did you just do both at the same time? and let them over lap? How many coats of the darker color compared to the lighter color?

reducer; is that for getting the right consistancy?
hardener; how much, say per qt of paint, do you mix in?
Did you use clear coat? Sorry for picking your brain.

each paint manufacture has they're own mixture . omni paints is a 4;1;1 mix . (4 parts paint to 1 part reducer and 1 part hardener ) the silver i paint on the complete truck first (3 coats)
then i came back and did the darker color on the nose (3coats where it is the darkest ) and started with my 8 inches away from the surface and by the time i was to where is fades out i was like 18 to 20 inches away from the surface . omni paints are a SINGLE STAGE paint . what that means is it has properties to give a high gloss shine with out clear coat .you dont have to clear coat it but you can if you want to . the metalics i bought were POLY paint . which means they have alot of transparent or clear properties to alllow the metalic particals to show through. reducer is to thin it out to make it sprayable. then mixing cups i get have the markings on them for the right mixes .
