you know i don't have any problems with my GF at all. she tells me what ever makes me happy. although i went to buy a new F350 last week and she kinda went nuts. she was yelling that if i buy that truck i will go through 3 trucks and 3 quads and a paintball gun in a year. i bother her about all the money she spends shopping and i mean it's a lot. i could pay for a brand new fully loaded with a plow for what she spends on misc shopping a month not to mention the nails, hair, waxing junk. i just go with the flow. she is gona come wheeling with me so it will be an experience. she doen't want to take the beater tho. she thinks we will get stuck in the country as she puts it!lol

i do what i want, she does what she wants but i manage the money, i pay all the bills so she can't complain. her money is just extra. that how i get away with it i guess!!!!!!!!!!\

well today while painting a trailer i used a paint color called pewter poly metallic . kind of a black silver mix to it . i like the phantom idea and i think this paint would be perfect over metallic silver :-)

Now you know why custom paint jobs cost big bucks. Your paint selection sounds pretty cool anyways. Post some pics when you get it done. If it were my truck, it'd never get done.

took off emblems , trims and started sanding on my truck today, well the worst part of it . the hood/front fenders/nose all pitted from paint peeling/chipping . took a hell of a lot of sanding to get them chips smoothed out, got nose primered . i can see it's gonna need more sanding . got a few small hail dents in hood that need filling ,

what are you using to fill in the dings and dent? Please don't say BONDO! I hate the B word.
I've got a slight door crease..I'm not sure if I'll be able to knock out so I might have to fill it.I just don't know what to use,I've had bad luck on my last car with bondo.

actually . NO it isnt BONDO . i hate bondo . it is low budget ..

i use high quality space aged polyester putty . high dollar stuff . and i use a glazing compound over that w/ a pin hole filler .
i get my supplies at the local PPG paint supplier.
i do countless body repairs all the time in my work . surface prep and masking work are the most critical in any paint job . if you excell at those areas even an amature can paint it

at lunch today sanded roof of cab and primered . some hail dents there too . didnt fill them yet tho . maybe later . i only had an hour and it looks like i am going to have to sand roof to metal anyhow

sure anytime

dent removal depends on the dent . how big is it ? what shape is it ? where is it located ?

i try to pound /pull anything larger then a hail dent . a large diameter , shallow dent can sometimes be pulled with a plunger.
small , deep dents require a dent puller .
then again sometimes it is cheaper to replace fenders/body panels rather then mess with it at all. small hail dents . i dont even mess with trying to pull . they are to small and easily filled . the door crease i had behind the pass. door i filled it to . wasn't worth messin with .

well on the 89 the rear driverside panel behing the rear wheel well has like rinkles in it. it is pushed in a little. i think it can be pulled out and then hammered and then it will need filler.

the new truck i may buy has a pretty big dent in the drivers side bed panel right behind the door. it can be pulled out, doesn't seem to be creased. then there is just some minor dents here and there. nutin else major.

i just don't know how to tackle it. i bought a book to read about autobody and it explains the tools and stuff like the lingo. i am reading now but i would appreciate it if i can shout ya out if i need help.
