fing your local automotive paint store . go there to buy filler . or a boat supply house . glidden makes a good filler . there are others too . just dont go to an auto parts store and buy bondo..

well i finally got it all sanded and primered today . i might try to paint it tomorrow . we'll see if i am up to it in the morning .....lol....
got all my paint and supplies needed to complete it today

these pics arent great as my digital camera is a POS. i got a full roll shot of it with my advantix camera . will post them as soon as i get it developed . but i thought i would post these anyhow .

Hey did you get a new truck? That looks great man! How about some pointers on materials and techniques? I definately like the single color better than the 2 tone.

well if ya look closer you'll notice the front is darker and it blends out just before the rear edge of the hood .

i tell ya man . i've used $40 spray guns and $250 spray guns . and the gun makes a world of difference .

paint quality makes a big difference also . sand with 220 grit paper .heavy primer. wet sand with 400 before painting ,
8 inch fan spray pattern and about 8 inches away from the surface, turn the air down and the volume up. work even coats . keep moving . dont sweat little stuff . it'll all come out after bout 3 or 4 coats

I have been wanting to repaint my truck i hate the bottom color of it i have no clue why my father picked it out...... Oh and I have a black tailgate and a big dent he smashed the gate and dented the truck before he hands me the keys what a nice guy huh!

well all total . i had like 16 hours into sanding /primer and filling small hail sized dents /door dings . another 3 hours of masking and wet sanding . several hours of trim removal /installation, 3+ hours painting . $220 in paint and supplies.(3 rolls 3/4" masking tape,1 roll 18" masking paper, 1 roll 220 grit self stick 6" sandpaper/100 sheets, 8 high quality sandable primer cans , 1/2 gallon omni primer, several mixing cups and sticks . paint strainers,1 gallon omni reducer, 1 quart hardener, 1 quart pewter metalic paint, 1 gallon metallic silver paint (all omni paints a division of ppg paints) 1 roll plastic sheeting ,several sheets 400 wet/dry sandpaper.) i think thats bout it ......lol
