Pressure washed engine bay, now truck wont idle.
Ok, so i have a 1990 250 with a 351 EFI emissions deleted setup. I had drove it around and warmed the engine up knowing i was going to pressuer wash the engine bay. During the wash i let the truck sit and idle so it would maintain temperature and evaporate water as i washed it. It ran fine, didnt spit and spudder as i washed the engine bay. So, i shut the truck off and continue washing the rest of it, i washed the frame rails and other parts near the engine bay. I finished with the back of the frame and exhaust tips. I was a little careless around the tips and could have gotten water into them, but i dont think that would mess anything up. I go to start it to blow the excess water that had gotten into the exhaust out. It fired right up, ran for about 30 seconds then just died. No warning, just like i shut the key off. I go to restart the motor and it would occasionally fire, so i tapped the throttle which has been done for awhile because of its age. Fired up but worked to get up to idle speed. I got it up there, let off the throttle and it just shut off. So, i finished the rest of the truck, and started it, ran it at roughly 1k for a min to see if it would evaporate whatever ailment has upset it. Let off the throttle and just fell from 1k to zero. No subtle fall, just quit like i shut the key off. Decided to take and drive it around to see if it would benifit me by having flowing air. No, it acutally backfired a few time when i was going up a hill and would die when i hit the clutch to shift if i let completely off the throttle. Im at a loss here. No CEL's already did the OBD-1 tests and came up with nothing. Could i have ruined the TPS? or could it be something else?
