Picked up a 93 supercab 4x4...HELP
After driving a 95 that I bought back in 97 and putting 276k on it, I figured why not look for a toy.
The neighbor was going to scrap his 93 and the bumper on my 95 got beat up in a wreck so I asked if I could get the bumper off the "scrap"...well that was last fall. He moved out last week and left me the title for the 93 to scrap when I got what parts I wanted off it, I'll just give him the cash after I scrap it...BUT after some tinkering I got it running and it runs like a beast. It's amazing what charging a battery after topping it off with water and a bit of adjustment on the throttle cable will do. Since the body is in just as good or better condition than my 95, I figure I'll just pay hm the scrap value and keep it.
Now here's the question for you F150 gods. He told me the front drive shaft was in the back of the truck (in the bed) and that the guts for the front four wheel drive was removed because it grind when he tried to put it in 4x4. The shifter is even removed to put it in 4x4.
If I want to reinstall/rebuild the front 4x4, how big of a project am I looking at? I've never worked on 4x4 before, but if it was rear wheel drive between 64-70 and mopar, I've wrenched it.

If it is just a jacked up transfer case, they can be found in junkyards for 50ish bucks. I have 3 layin' around in my hoard of parts.
Is the front differential still complete under the truck? Jack the front end in the air, and turn the yoke by hand to see if it spins.
Manual or automatic hubs installed?
