will a 1993 Mustang GT computer work in a 1993 f 150 5.0

I bought a cam from comp cams I am using speed density I don't like the cam I want a bigger one something that has a nice idle. Can I use a 93 mustang GT computer to run a bigger cam

im sure you'll have more issues with the computer than the cam at that point. Take your f150 computer to a trusted tuner and have it burned to run with the cam.

I called around no one around here tunes these computers! I thought about the mustang computer cause I can get them cheapBut After doing research I think I might stick with the cam for now and buy a MAF conversion or get a donor 95 or 96 and swap the parts out. What do you think would be better? I really don't know a whole lot about SD or MAF sorry lol. Thanks

not knowledgeable on the speed density or MAF either. Although i hear the MAF setups are better than the SD setups.

Ill have to ship it off after spending hours on the phone and days on the internet closest place to tune it is 100 miles away. I'm goinf to wait to get a maf conversion kit with my income tax return. Then the supercharger will go on too!

If you are going to do a lot of mods then it's best to do them at once and tune accordingly. Being you already have the cam, you can probably get a "safe" tune if you talk to the people at Troyer Performance, and then modify the tune from there if needed.

I wouldn't bother with the MAF conversion, even if you do go forced induction. There were a lot of blower motors using speed density and with a proper tune they run just fine and still produce big numbers. This is coming from someone with an OEM mass air truck... use the money on another part of the build IMO.

Yeah I did some more research online I saw that Kenne Bell makes a sc for sd so I think ill save the 1200 bucksthe naf conversion costs for new tires lol!
