Some people shouldn't do brake jobs

Found this two or so year old picture I lost when I was flippin' for profit a '90 Bronco.

I had my brother inlaw do the brakes on my e-350 van and I couldnt believe how bad he screwed them up. had to redo the whole thing.. Deal was on that van the springs ar so damn big ita a work out getting the brake on.

The autoadjust lever is installed correctly, but the autoadjuster is backward, so the lever doesn't touch the star wheel, and the brakes can't autoadjust. That's probably why there's fluid streaming down the backing plate: the brakes wore to the point that the slave pistons hyperextended.

The adjustment spool is on backwards. You are supposed to be able to go ythrough a slot with a screwdriver or adjustment tool and turn the wheel. The wheel is on the wrong end.

That piece that looks kind of like the shape of Texas is the lock. It should be on top of the thoothed ring so it keeps it from turning backwards.

hahahaha ive seen that before or they have the pads on backwards. i had a buddy put on a set and never adjested them n he drove over my house n says i changed them now i got no pedal. i agree some people shouldnt do brakes

The Texas piece isn't a lock - it's the autadjuster lever. Read this caption:
