How much lift?

I was wondering if there is a way to tell how much lift my 89 F150 4X4 has. It is sitting on 33/12.50/15s and looks to easily be able to clear 35s. I believe my pitman arm is worn out and need to figure out if a stock pitman arm will work.

If anyone can answer this I would appreciate it, I know my truck has a 3" body lift, but it looks to me that it might have some suspension lift as well, it just looks taller than other trucks I've seen with a 3" body lift.

most people will say 4 inch is for running 33's and 6 inch is for running 35's. its possible it could have some suspension lift and some body lift.

I'm pretty sure there is no body lift. Looks to be all suspension. However, I haven't looked THAT close yet, sometihng I still need to do...

i dont see how the pitman arm can be worn out, unless the spinles that go onto the box are stripped...maybe the drag link, tie rods, of the box itself maybe even the rag joint...hell it could be a whole slew of things. usually a warn pitman arm is a thing on the GM's with thier silly idler arm set ups.

All I know is the joint where the pitman arm and drag link connect is wobbly... I assumed this meant the hole ont he pitman arm for the bolt had been worn out. I already ordered new tie rods, ball joints, and a new drag link. If the steering is still loose I'll check the pitman arm.

thats what made my steering feel wobbly and make my truck shake was the joint where the left side attaches to the drag link and the joint where the drag link attaches to pitman arm .

So what was the fix? A new pitman arm or new drag link joint?

I have noticed the same thing about my 89 F150 sitting taller than other similiar year trucks. I also have 33's on it and they look just right with the trucks height. I noticed that there are blocks under the rear leaf springs, and spacers in the front coils. Always wondered if they were stock or a previous owner installed them?
