1989 F150 (was built on my birthday) 209,473.4 got it from my father with a little over 186,000. Other than an a/c compressor, alternator, and a water pump, all is original equipment!

my dad's 1990 f-150, single cab, long box, 300ci 4.9L 2wd 5spd that has been beet the living **** out of, pulled a mini road grader on a 30' gooseneck about 50 miles, and gets the oil changed in it about every 10,000 miles on regular oil, also the he always puts the truck into reverse and reaches about 7mph and throws it into 1st and spins the back tires for a couple of seconds. And the truck has gone thru about 4ft of snow without the help of any other truck or equipment, even tho there was a lot of throwing it into 1st, then reverse and back. The truck has about 300,000 miles, and the original motor and tranny, only small stuff been replaced, like the battery and stuff.

My 5.8W has 140,586 motor and trans original. Doesn't burn or leak oil. Looking at others post, I can still get quite a while left out of this truck.

If Broncos count I sold my 89 EB 302 with original motor and tranny about 5-6 years ago with 252,000. Still ran good. Just standard maint stuff. I think the only thing major was an ignition switch went bad...

94 F150 x cab 4x4 4.9L (6I) 140K miles original engine & Mazda 5 spd trans (trans rebuilt 1 yr ago) acquired 01 with 90K. Tin worm biggest problem in usual areas (wheel wells) when I get it running again (see power drain on starting problem).

Say... why did Ford get rid of the 4.9L (6I) engine... is probably one of the most robust around?

I have a 1996 F150 straight six, standard, single cab 2wd. 185,000miles. All original. Replaced one air tube on motor is only major repair. 3sets of tires, 1 brake job, 3 batteries, plus countless oil changes and a few fuel filters. Used to get 21mpg on highway when I was in college.

other high mileage Fords in family:
My mom's 01 supercrew lariat w/ the 5.4, over 252,000miles and only major work has been a few coil packs.
My dad's 2000 supercab w/ 5.4 has 278,000 on it w/ no major repairs.

Living in Texas will but some miles on vehicles. Also have, family in North Carolina so alot of highway miles.
