Show off your pre-97 Ford trucks
Sorry for gravedigging this thread.
Wanted to share the transformation my truck has been through within this last year....I originally was going to do a solid axle swap and go a little wider and do 20x12 XD Diesels but decided to go the cheaper route and save my money for a newer and badder diesel in a year or two....But I'm really happy with the finished product! Not bad for a kid's first truck and not being funded my mommy and daddy!
Here's some before and after pictures:
April 2012

January 2013(After body work/paint but before wheels)

And here is the finished product. I am super happy with the outcome. I love these tires as well. They have a similar tread to a Mud Grappler but aren't loud and not as aggressive. Got all 4 with 70% tread for $130 so I couldn't complain...I plan to drop the rear a few inches to level it out and bulldog it just a bit and make a mount to lift that front bumper up to get rid of the space(due to the body lift). But, overall, I am very happy with the end product! She sure has come a long way!
March 2013.(Toolbox has been added back after these pics were taken)

All specs on truck:
1989 F150 302
6" Suspension Lift
3" Body Lift
18x10 Moto Metal 962
35" Fierce Attitude M/T
Thanks for checking out my truck!

x2 on the clip swap but nie truck none the less. My buddy has those tires and likes them a lot yoyu got a great deal on them
I totally agree with the clip swap idea...I myself VERY much prefer the 92-96 front end more than the bricknose but it didn't bother me enough to spend that extra money..Thanks for the compliments guys!

To hell with a new one..I'd keep that one. At least as a toy
Ohio or Indiana/ northeast Kentucky is a pretty mundane drive. Just a matter of the fuel costs with a trailer. I'd take the drive in the car for fun..
If going for a rust free bed, I'd go south rather than west. Virginia offers a lot of pretty clean stuff for a lot less money.

very true. I cant argue that. I know im kind of in that zone where you can find them, but they are far and few between, but south of Kansas City ,which is about 2 hours from me, most are rust free, but cost an arm and a leg. I cant win.
